lyrics

Asterico: Everything in our lives is political. Let’s just put that straight: everything you do, everything you see, everything you live in is political. You just cannot separate politics and our lives apart, it’s one, it’s one thing we’re talking about.

Tom Szirtes: Everyone can decide what’s right for them, but - I think doing nothing is not defensible. We’re so spoiled with so many treats and we got used to consuming. It’s cheap and it’s easy and that’s fantastic, but it has a cost. But a cost we don’t see. And that’s what we need to address as a society when we buy that fast fashion. We need to know what the true cost of that is, when we have that hamburger or whatever. We need to know what the true cost of that is and we don’t. Or we’re willfully ignorant of it - and that’s what for me I never want to be.

Danny Howells: More and more people around the world are waking up to the fact that we do not need to be eating animals to survive. Our obsession with eating animals is killing the planet, is killing the oceans. As more and more people wake up to this I think the governments need to really be stepping in and also (you know) helping some farmers to diversify. Move into areas that are gonna help to keep the planet alive. Stop animals from being exploited in this way, because this really is going to be the future. If you look at the fact that we’re growing food worldwide to feed seventy billion land animals every year, just so that we can then kill those seventy billion land animals to feed seven billion humans: none of that makes any sense at all. When you think about that, as think about what we are actually doing: growing that much food, clearing all those lands, clearing space for these animals to live on - even though they are gonna be there for a very short time before they’re killed - none of that makes any sense. We’re doing all of that to feed seven billion people, where as we could just grow the food to feed seven billion people, which would create so many fewer problems, and actually give this planet a chance of surviving, which right now it doesn’t.

C'est vivre on- and off grid.

Daphne Fernberger: I think society and politicians could do a lot more. I think a lot of people feel how I once felt: that the issue is so far from them, it’s so much bigger than them that they can’t do anything to help it. But if each from us where to take responsibility for our own actions we really would turn the tide. I also think politicians and leaders alike can be braver - much braver - and focus on values for everyone, for the health of individuals and the planet.
